CruisesOnly is having a big Fourth of July sale. Their red, white and blue map of the United States is really easy to use. I quickly found the West Coast departure zone I wanted and when I clicked on Los Angeles, the first thing I saw was a seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise starting at $449 for an interior room.
Deal: The seven-night Mexican Riviera deal was for Royal Caribbean sailing in October and included $25 free shipboard credit and stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Four-night Carnival cruises to Baja departing from Los Angeles took advantage of the 75% off deal and started at $209 in January and February 2009.
There are so many ways to take advantage of this sale, it doesn’t matter if you prefer sailing with Princess Cruises or Norwegian –- many cruise lines are listed and the grid is easy to use if you want to pay a little extra to sail on specific dates. Expand your vacation options by selecting a different departure city as there are 22 to choose from.
Caveat: I couldn’t find any information on the site about how long the sale would last. When I called the 800 help line, I had to give specific cruise itinerary information in order to find out any info. So have your dates and ship line ready.
When: Purchase July 1–4, 2008, for travel into 2009. Dates vary depending on cruise line.
